Her spirit lifted the moment Leo came into view. Carletta gave an approving nod as he greeted her, feeling a bit of pride when he even used Spanish to speak. She’d taught him a little bit and she was very happy that he was willing to learn. It would definitely make conversing easier, though she felt a bit bad that he didn’t know the language as fluidly as she did. But Leo was learning fast in her book, and she felt confident that one day they’d be able to have a full conversation in her native tongue. She was willing to wait for that day. Leo was worth the wait.
“Yes… Hola.” Her tail was wagging back and forth eagerly as she cocked her head to the side, giving a small, happy whine. “How you? Busy yes… but… also…?” She trailed off, finding trouble with her English once more. What word was she looking for? He was obviously busy as an alpha, but was he enjoying himself? Was he having fun? Was he doing alright? |
