*OOC: Set after challenge, keeping it vague*

He wasn't sure what had happened when the howl came, he didn't even know who the big red wolf was except that he had to go and do something. The boy didn't really care, not when he walked out of the den and saw white stuff all over the ground for the first time. He gasped, racing over and jumping in it. It was cold to the touch, big white flakes drifting down from the sky and on to the earth. Wait... was this what Castiel had meant when he said snow? It wasn't just white and cold on wolves, but white and cold on the ground? Oh! Oh cool! He wanted it all, he wanted to collect it up and keep it all with him! It was rather wet though, when he grabbed some in his mouth it just dripped out and back on the ground. No fair! He wanted to keep some but it wasn't liking him at all. Growling, he dropped into a play bow and jumped up to catch a flake between his teeth, his jaws snapping shut with an audible click. But even that one did the same thing! It just vanished and didn't let him take it back to show everyone. Narrowing his yellow and blue eyes, he glared at it for a moment and flopped his rump into the snow. He needed to figure out some way to bring it back. Maybe he could drop it on Pa and make him go all jumpy and crazy again. Giggling, he rolled around the slush until it gathered into an oblong ball shape. Now that he was able to clasp in his jaws, but Fable did so gently. Okay so he just needed to be nice to the snow! That was the trick! Laughing, he took a few steps back towards the den before he felt the water dripping down his chin again. What, no! He was being nice and everything!

Dropping the snowball, he barked at it and pounced around it in a tight circle. Every time he reared up and hit his front paws back into the snow, he shuffled sideways slightly until he had made a clear path back down to the earth. "Wha' does you wants, snow? I was nice and everyfing!" Those were the rules, right? He was following the rules of the game, or so he thought, but snow wasn't playing very nicely. So he would show it! With one last rear he slammed back on the snowball until it puffed up several flakes, a flurry raining down on the young boy. The ball was gone, but he was distracted once more by the little storm he had made himself. Oh, it did that too? That was more fun than bringing it home! Abandoning his quest to carry some snow back to the den, he began to hop around like a fox, pounding his overly large paws into the ground each time to kick up more tiny flakes.

"SPEAK!"
