This Is Bad

Fear strickened the blood in his veins, but not a fragment of it showed on his face. Stoicism instead took the reigns on his mask as he listened to the report from Pontifex. Rogues had torn apart one of his members. She was still breathing - though Gerhardt doubted she would still be alive now. A sigh crossed his lips as he processed the information. "Very well. We will need to go and see what has happened and bring her back here no matter what state she is in. Pontifex, take Elphaba -" he fell silent as another member joined the fray - a newer member. "Switchback," he nodded his head to her politely. "We have received grave news of an attack on one of our members." He turned his attention back to Pontifex. "Take Elphaba with you, and Switchback as well. Should anything go amiss and you need assistance, she will act as your messenger and relay the news to me. She is a hunter so I trust her speed is decent enough." He turned his vision between the three of them. "Stay together at all costs, and be careful. I shall await your return." As much as he longed to go on this mission himself, it was not wise for a King to leave in this sort of situation. What if this was only a decoy and the rogues had intentions of targeting the range? It was his job to think of things like this, and to prevent them from happening.
