Her focus on the marvel before her was so intense, she barely heard the bark nearby. It took a few moments to process the sound, to turn her head in its direction and see the female watching her. Her eyes widened slightly as they turned from the glittering beach to take in the brown coloring on her face and ankles, white paws, and piercing blue eyes, bright interruptions in the female's gray coat. Why was she acting so nonchalant? Aside from the black sand before her, she was announcing herself to a stranger.

"Have you been here before? Do you know why this sand is black?" Natiel skipped straight past the introductions to the important stuff. Few things were more exciting to Nati than learning. To know about the black sand, to find out if it was normal - these things took priority the moment she laid eyes on the place. Meeting this stranger could wait until later, if she felt like it.
