Welcome to where time stands still,
Where no one leaves and no one will.
Where no one leaves and no one will.
At first, there was no thought other than the idle wonder over his voice as it echoed out over the shadowed distance. Over the sheer size of him, and a sort of mystification over the entire presentation he had given her. Just facing her told her so much, and she knew instantly that the man was off the menu. He would be too much of a mouthful for her, and she knew better than to hunt above her skill level. Still, she wasn't entirely ready to let such a prize out of her jaws so quickly, even if his tone did hold an underlying annoyance to it. With a small tic working in her jaw, Naamah crosses the distance so that shadow might be able to meet shadow and be able to pick out details they may have missed before.
His tones had been deep, pleasant to the ear, but they dripped with such honey she thought she might be sick...at first. His second statement brought a small, but polite smirk and the dip of her head. For a moment, she pondered his use of the common tongue rather than a more proper, noble language. Swallowing her pride, her voice leaks forth with a husky whisper underlying tones of honeyed whiskey and smoke. The voice that came from the dark queen was one that was heavily tinted with her native Latin, though there were notes that resonated with the heathen German of her father's tongue. "Forgive me, I habet..have no use for plebian words. I walk with you? Maybe...uh...maybe we can be hunting the cervos..deer on our way?" She huffed her frustration out as she spoke her broken sentences, a muscle contracting in the left side of her neck to make her head twist slightly before relaxing back to its usual regal posture. For a moment, her pupils dilate until only narrow slivers of mismatched red remained before they contract back to normal.
The tinkling, delighted laughter of Lilith ran through the back of the ghost's mind. But nothing was said, perhaps there would still be something worthwhile to gain from further interaction. Naamah's mind buzzed with the demonic purring of her internal friend, but the woman wouldn't give up her secrets even to Naamah. She awaited the response of the heavy male, her black flag waving hopefully behind her.
