He'd hung back. Far back when his mother and the others rushed to greet the male in front of their den. Cloud wasn't sure what to make of it, but he wasn't feeling entirely social. Wary was probably the term for what he was feeling, though he wasn't quite sure. His sisters had all gone and did a full on approach, especially Echo. But him? It was like an invisible rope had to practically drag him closer. bi-colored eyes watched the man warily, his gaze never leaving him even with all the distractions going on. His ears flattened a bit as Echo barked her head off, his lip sort of lifting with annoyance. Why did she have to be so loud? He didn't get it. He was the quietest of them all. He didn't really feel the need to go and bark his head off, at least, not in public. When it was just him and his mother, he was a lot more outgoing, playful, and just a happy kid in general. But this? He could feel some weird feeling creeping in. And it seemed to happen when he was around or near large groups.
His mother said that Bass had brought them lunch, so ever so slowly he approached in silence until he was practically glued to his mother's leg. He didn't break his gaze away from Bass until he saw the doves on the ground, but even then he made no motion towards them. He mentioned taking his sisters to go see the snakes. Good. That meant he could be alone with his mother. Unless...he had to go too? He wasn't entirely keen on the idea...he would much rather stick around his mom and play with her. When Bass asked their names, Cloud looked back at him but remained quiet. Why couldn't he just say a simple answer? Hi, my name's Cloudburst. Nice to meet you! Is what played in his head, but the words just would not leave his mouth.
