Love Is Illness

Mortar was used to his solitude. It'd been a constant in his life since he was a year old so he certainly hadn't expected company. An ears flicked towards the sound of heavy paw steps and he turned his head, water swishing against his face as he did so, to see a dark coated stranger on the bank. Mortar's ears flicked back hesitantly as he contemplated this unforeseen outcome. The male sat down, clearly not bothered by the fact that he was already in the lake, but overall he seemed friendly enough. Oddly enough he seemed familiar, but he couldn't quite place where he'd seen the stranger before then. Most of all it was the eyes that seemed the most recognizable. "Hello! Hope you don't mind company. It was hot today." He wasn't quite sure how he felt about company, but it wasn't as if he owned the lake. Who was he to turn another wolf away. he glanced up at the other male and nodded. It was hot and he supposed making a new friend wasn't a bad idea. It wasn't as though he had the right to be picky when he had practically no one at all to begin with with Ray gone and Ricochet who knows where. "I don't mind." He called towards the bank. "I'm Mortar." Walk, "Talk" Think |
