“Doubt all you want, I’ve maintained rougher terrain in my time.” She growled, her head raised with indignant pride at the sarcastic tone the stranger’s voice had taken. She glossed over the girl’s intenton to explore her land and instead answered the question of what she had hoped to find among the glaciers. “Solitude.” She hissed in response, answering in a heartbeat. Bathsheba was many things, but a liar was not one of them. While most wolves were social creatures, designed to live in a pack Bathsheba lived alone and fended only for herself. No one held her back, no one got in her way and no one…respected her? Cared for her? Loved her? Well, who needed any of that anyway? She narrowed her eyes on the girl, her black gums still visible and chuffed a breath of air. “Explore if you must but think again if it’s without me following your every move.”
