The only thing better than enjoying the sunset was enjoying it with someone else. Now that she had some company she didn't feel guilty at all about staying out late. Meeting someone new and making new friends was a great reason to be a little late getting home, right? She thought so anyway. She gave a little shake of her head when Jackson asked if she came here to watch the sunset often. "This is my first time coming out here actually! I was just doing some exploring and I found this beach only a few moments ago. I thought the sunset was too pretty to pass up so I ended up sitting here. And now you're here with me so it's even better!" Her words were cheerful and a bit rushed as she rambled on, getting caught up in her own excitement like she usually did. She knew that she should probably be more "grown up" and "adult" for her age, but that had never been something she had been good at. "What about you?" she asked after a moment, opening the floor for her new friend to talk since she had been sucking up all the air until now. "You live kind of near here right?" |
