Fortune bowed, a strange gesture that Faite still wasn't used to, but she waved the thought away. Instead she grinned lightly as the other woman teased her. It really was a beautiful day going to waste by sleeping in that much was obvious. If she didn't have kids to tire her out she was sure she would have been up much earlier, but that was the thing about having children. She certainly loved the five of them and she wouldn't change it even if she could. She was sure things would change as the kids got older and found their own dens. The idea of them growing up frightened her slightly but she was aware it was inevitable. "Why don't you babysit five kids for a week and see how you feel afterwards." She teased back with a grin before she stuck her tongue out at her in a very immature way. It felt good to be joking though. It wasn't how she expected her morning to go, but already she was enjoying it. Fortune changed the subject to the hogs and she listened with interest while Fortune dropped the piece of hog she'd brought for her to enjoy. She settled in to eat as she thought about the hogs. Another pack hunt so soon probably wasn't a good idea, but the pair of them could have a separate hunt soon. They could help keep the count down and feed the pack at the same time. It was a task they could certainly accomplish on their own and, she was right, the hogs were delicious. "That's a good idea. It's definitely something we can manage on our own. Maybe we can drag the kids along some time for something. Maybe not with the hogs, but they're about old enough to start learning." She said in between bites of breakfast. It felt good to bounce ideas off of someone. She probably could have discussed it with Zell, but it'd never actually occurred to her to do so. With Fortune it just happened naturally, mostly because Fortune took the initiative to, but all the same it was nice all around. Speaking of nice things, Fortune brought up something Faite had been trying to arrange for a little while now. She'd fully intended on organizing a pack event between two packs. She'd tried with Ivory Ridge and she was still waiting on Karabela to get back to her on it. Visiting the other packs was a good idea though. She'd been meaning to for some time now, but hadn't found the time to take such a long break away from everything. She chuckled at the husband comment. "I tried planning something with Ivory Ridge, but I have yet to hear anything about it. Visiting another pack sounds like a grand idea though." She explained and then her thoughts started wandering to an idea she'd had for a little while now. It had started off as only an idea but sitting here, talking with Fortune, it turned into more of a decision. "I have a proposition for you, if you're interested." She started off. "Originally I'd intended on just leading the pack by myself. I'm sure I could manage alone, but it'd certainly be easier if someone filled the secondary alpha position. So how about it, wanna be the Kaliq?" She offered with a grin. "You've been more than helpful since the pack was raised, you've organized hunts, and overall I think you have good qualities befitting of an alpha."
