She crouched down and began to move quietly through the spruce, beckoning the girl to do the same. Not far ahead was a coyote mother with a group of pups swarming around her. She bent her head and regurgitated part of a digested kill into the mouths of her young. Oh joy… motherhood. This was what she had to look forward to. Although she supposed… glancing back at the girl who was staring expectantly at her Pyralis continued to grin. There was something appealing about the idea of passing on her own ideas and skills without anyone telling her otherwise. Having progeny that belonged to her, and to her along. Pyralis gestured for the girl to come closer. |
