ooc: Sorry it's so long, Shrap. xD

Eria hadn't been in Glaciem long, but she was loving the pack life already. She had spent the night for the first time with her new family a couple of evenings before. As she stretched and woke herself up for the new day, she thoughtfully looked back on that moment. She remembered laying down near Crusade, the only fae she was familiar with before joining Glaciem. The taller female had welcomed her to lay nearby and she had slept soundly for the first time in the past two years. Now, since it had been a few days, her insomnia had seemed to disappear altogether and her conscious was more soothed than before.
Her dark paws carried her to the yawning entrance of the pack's cave and the warm sunlight. It hit her like an ocean wave and consumed her as she stepped out from the darkness. Eria looked over her shoulder to see if anyone else was up and ready for the day like her. Not a soul stirred, so she turned her head back and began to pad from the cave. A few cold breezes swept towards her, moving some of the sun's absorbed warmth from her fur. Her heart skipped a beat and she closed her eyes at the touch. The North was her favorite part of Alacritis, which was another reason why she knew Glaciem was the pack for her. After that brief pause, she caught a scent on the winds and she became focused. Eyes snapped open and she lightly trotted across the snow, making small amounts of the diamonds rise and fall, twinkling in the sunlight.
A mile or two away from the cave, Eria found a raised snowbank. Hiding behind it, she slowly raised her head and looked above the mound. A snow rabbit, big in size and hind feet, was sitting all on its lonesome, enjoying a couple blades of grass. The green stood out against the snow and reminded Eria that spring was on its way. An ear flicked back at this thought, dismissing it as hungry rolled in her stomach. She kept watch as it slowly moved around, looking for more blades to munch on. Eria slowly back away from the snowbank, warmed her hind leg muscles, then pushed off. She was over the snowbank, hind paws touching the top of it, but she landed swiftly and started to chase.
The rabbit hopped off and fast, creating zigzag lines in the snow. Eria did tu suite, growls and upper lip curled as she let the snow sweep up and away from her. Eria caught up faster than she intended and her front teeth grabbed the scruff of the rabbit's neck. What she didn't plan on happening was the tree stump she didn't see tripping her. With a swift flip or two, she wrapped her front paws around the body of the squirming rabbit, who was trying to hop away by beating its hind feet against her chest. Finally, she stopped rolling, snow rising and falling across her darkened form. Staggering to her feet, she still held onto the struggling rabbit, who was kicking the ground and sending snow up and around them. Rolling her eyes, she bit down and snapped its neck, causing its life to quickly end. Panting heavily, Eria dropped the rabbit in front of her and looked around. Sniffing the air, she caught an unfamiliar scent. Someone was there, in the snowy summit, but she didn't know whom. Her defenses rose and she snarled. "Who's out there?" she called.
