A soft chuckle eased it's way from her dark lips, taking Mara by surprise. She didn't usually find many things terribly amusing, but watching the other woman's surprise at the bird's odd route of escape was,in fact, quite amusing. The weird little wings those birds had seemed to serve an unexpected surface; letting them fly underwater rather than in the air. "I'm sure it will, there's no shortage of those funny looking things around here," she stated. Too many for her liking, really. Perhaps it was time for someone to cull just a few, even if for no reason other than entertainment.

The thought of going after one of those sea beasts was definitely an interesting one... Mare grinned, despite knowing such a task would require more than a few hunters, "It does sound fun to try and lure one into shore, I'm sure if you left one of those birds injured in the water we could get an up-close look at one... As for bait, there's surely more around," the dark woman purred, pleased with these ideas. She wasn't sure she'd be able to hunt one of those beasts today, but it might be interesting to at least see one up close. She hadn't bothered to see if they hung around these shore just yet.

"Mm, I'll leave the exploring to those more suited to it," came her mildly grumbled reply. Unnecessary wandering was a pain. Of course she'd been doing an awful lot of it lately... Ah, but that could be passed off as a search for her brother. The man was somewhere, she knew that much, but where... Eyeing the woman with the mottled coat, Mara paused, never one to just hand out her name since she rarely saw fit to. Why just give it out to someone she'd likely never speak with again? Eventually she came to the conclusion that she didn't dislike this individual enough to withhold it for once and replied, "I'm Mara Berodach." Normally one might try and make small talk, continue the conversation or whatever. Not Mara, she wasn't the biggest fan of small talk, or talking at all most of the time. Sliding to a standing position, she stretched languidly, slipping down from her perch on the rock to make her way towards the other woman, glancing out at the water before them.

Mara is rude, lazy, and really likes to swear sometimes. She is not pleasant in the slightest.
