  Bass listened to her words and sighed. He knew that she was right, that everything she said was right. He fought with himself to find the right words, instead just letting out a soft sigh. He couldn't stop his kinds from going anywhere but he couldn't help but think that he had let them down their whole lives. That was something that he needed to deal with himself though, no one else could help him. He smiled when she mentioned not being the only one to love him, leaning against his friend with more earnest. It was just... hard. All of this. But that was life, right? It would never be easy or get any easier from here, not now that aging and dying was becoming a common occurrence. Resting his head on her shoulder, the alpha faintly nodded. "Love you too, Vali. You always know what to say." Bass said softly, shutting his eyes for a moment. He didn't want to talk anymore about things that made him sad.
