She's always been good with children, at least... for as long as she can remember. In Celestial, she'd done well with the young ones. She'd shown them the ropes, taught them how to track. Tracking, you see, is the least dangerous of hunting activities in Fortune's mind. The brave wouldn't want to go around breaking other people's children. That was probably a bad idea, after all. Wouldn't want to put her mouth (nose?) anywhere it didn't belong. Right. Her attention remains on Kai, nodding at the child softly. "That's quite alright, here, take a look at these." Fortune picks up one of the shed quills carefully. "We have a creature called the porcupine, they're covered in these spines. They hurt to be poked with, but they're slow and clumsy. Easy to catch, but hard to kill." Fortune nods softly, pointing out the tracks in the soft ground, leading off toward a more wooded area. "In order to eat them, you need to roll them on their backs and get to the area that's soft. Easy pickings if you know what to do" She grins softly, looking to the child. "Would you like to track one down with me?" They weren't fast, and this trail wasn't old. Fortune figured they should be able to find this one fairly easily. fortune shock & awe |
