His tone didn't even effect her as he quickly knocked her offer down with a 'no'. She shrugged her shoulders, if he didn't want it then fine she would just take it back to the den for anyone else who may want some. He went on to say they had diseases and paramites. She rose an eyebrow at the word knowing darn well that mother never said it that way. If he would have listened to his lessons that he would have learned that any of their prey could have. She really had no clue he was trying to bully her, or maybe it was because she thought to highly of her siblings that she didn't see it as bullying.
"If you remember from Momma's lesson all prey has the potential to get diseases and Parasites she warned us to be careful what we eat and this little guy was healthy," she stated her tone soft.
She wasn't trying to be a smarty pants she just simply wanted him to know that this groundhog was healthy and perfectly fine to eat. He then went on to state that he had caught himself a deer which made her slightly confused. There would be no way unless the deer was vary injured or highly incapacitated, but she didn't want to kill his thunder. If he wants to think he took down a deer what was the harm in letting him think that.
