She had been rather docile and quiet lately. Seasons seemed to come and go far too quickly, her broken heart stopping her from enjoying it too much. She had no idea where Diana and Jayne had gone, and it cracked her into little pieces. She became more withdrawn than usual, but instead of tossing herself at her work she just laid in a ball in her herb den. Today she actually managed to get out for a walk, but it was only because her limbs were starting to ache. With a groan she pulled herself to her paws and slowly picked her way towards the falls. At least it wasn't as warm as it was in the summer, but that also meant she was another year older. And where was she now? All her kids were distant, she hadn't even spoken to her mate or her family for months. Amalia had pulled back majorly, when was the last time she had actually called a healer training? She couldn't remember, that's how bad it was. Blowing out a sigh, she made herself to the lowest pool. The tiny healer flopped down beside it, her short stump of a tail curling into her fur. She looked at her own russet reflection, seeing the reserved look on her usual smiling face. Reaching out her gray marked paw, Ama struck the water to scatter her face in the water, twisting away from it. What was wrong with her? Resting her head on her legs, her dark blue eyes closed as she tried to shut out everything around her.
