Leo nodded knowingly when his mother mentioned that she was just happy to have him around. Roza was the first of his children to leave the nest and he was already missing her presence. He hadn't seen most of his siblings in ages. He was grateful for his children that were still staying close to home and for Amalia staying with them here for so long. His love for his family ran deep so having them around was really important to him. That was probably why he spent so much time and energy on keeping the pack alive so they would all have a home here. "I've been doing pretty well," he replied with a soft smile. In his attempt to hold off any bad news for as long as possible, his smile widened a bit as he added, "Actually... I don't know if you've gotten a chance to talk to her yet, but Carletta... I really like her. I think I've fallen in love with her. You know I wasn't sure if I would after Svetlana, but... I do." His tail wagged against the ground at the thought, feeling more and more confident about admitting it out loud. Now he just needed to get himself to admit it to Carletta herself. |
