It was the scent of a strange wolf on pack lands that ultimately got Vali's attention, and then shortly after that Finch's voice. She drew closer to the two wolves almost immediately, curiosity in her eyes as she approached near the border... and saw Finch with her little bird, and a blue boy who was clearly not yet an adult. Super tall, but the kid was all gangly limbs. And he was... extremely friendly, and completely oblivious to the fact that he was trespassing.

Then the boy spoke, and Vali corrected herself. Okay, oblivious to what a pack is. She laughed quietly as she approached closer, coming up next to Finch and greeting the girl - woman, really, but that would be admitting she was old, since Bass' children were quite old enough to have children. Thank goodness they hadn't yet. Chuckling again as the thought crossed her mind and she regarded the trespasser in front of her, she supposed she ought to be angry, but this was... rather adorable, and damnit, so was the pup. Vali greeted Finch with a quick nuzzle to the shoulder - after all, Vali was the affectionate type - and then she shamelessly jumped into the conversation. "A pack is a group of wolves that live together in a territory. This territory can be any size, and ours is large. It is considered against the rules to enter these lands without permission, and wolves can get punished if they do so." It was simple, but it worked! And her voice was completely kind, too, letting the kid absorb the information. She would not threaten him, though she would definietly let him know about the rules.

She considered, then, tilting her head at the boy. "If you're looking for some company, why don't you talk to Bass, the leader, or alpha, of our pack? Perhaps you would be able to join us, and be a part of our family. Then you'd never have to seek out company again. We would be able to teach you anything you wanted to learn, too, and all about packs." Okay, she truly was shameless. She shot Finch a quick apologetic look, though her look was also amused and excited... a yearling was still young, and it'd be good for Storm's puppies to play with a wolf not far from their age, and to get away from one another.
