The woman had decided she was going to go on an expedition, see what information she might be able to discover about the wolves not living in the West. She knew Regulus would make his own rounds to the different packs, but surely she might be able to discover something about the loners in other areas. Who knew? Perhaps she’d even be able to recruit another adult to Celestial! Marina was slowly accepting the fact that she was in a pack again. Sure she was no alphess… but that was alright. She was getting too old to want to deal with such crap.

Her heart did ache, however, for her children. She’d had so many… but not one of them were with her right now. Chasm’s loss had hurt the most. They’d been so close… but then again the boy had been close to his brother too. Was he happy where he was? Marina came to a stop, the cool wind surrounding her body causing the woman to give a small shudder. She… was sure she hated Liar now. Hated the man he’d turned into… those broken promises… taking her babies… he used her. Took advantage of her. He’d pay for it… even if Celeste and Nox had to deal with him themselves.

Marina pressed on, at least until she discovered the remains of the vessel once known as the S.S. Antiox. The mangled, rotting corpse outside the place had the female wrinkling her nose in disgust. Obviously someone lived here… someone who wasn’t afraid to kill. The female took a few more pawsteps closer to the plank that lead to the ship’s dock, ears flicking back. Something deep within her gut was stirring angrily once more, that feeling of Rainbow Syndrome whispering throughout her being. No matter what, Marina realized, she was always going to be broken.

But was that really such a bad thing in the end?
