Turning up the heat

Pyre wasn't entirely sure what to expect when he came out here, but a huge wolf a similar color to himself was certainly not it. He was so surprised by it that it shook his confident facade a bit. His expression changed from overly sure to surprised as he paused and waited for the red man to come closer. He was pretty used to colorful wolves with his sisters being pretty colorful like himself. It was just shocking to find someone who was red like him with blue eyes like him. Pyre wasn't nearly as tall as this man, but that was alright.

As soon as the stranger spoke and asked him if he had been looking for a spar it shook the shock off of him and he came back to reality. "Yeah!" he replied with a firm nod. "Um... Lets spar!" he added after an awkward moment of uncertainty. It wasn't necessarily that he was uncertain in himself, but he wasn't sure how this was supposed to go. He started getting into a defensive stance like his dad had showed him one time. He spread his feet apart a bit so they were square with each other and lowered his head so that his neck and spine were even. His tail tucked under him while his chin tucked down over his throat. He racked his brain more a moment to try and remember if he was doing everything, but he thought this felt pretty good so he went with it. He glanced up at the stranger and waited to see if he would make the first move or if he needed to.
