Protect what you love

He had been rushed to get Vianni out of there. He had pushed them south bringing up the rear for their safety and protection, telling Kait and Vi to move to the south until the sun warmed their bones. He had done so intentionally, leaving them time to bond, but also keep a watchful eye on Vi for any sign of aggression towards the smaller feme. He could smell the pregnancy in Vi yet still Kait seemed to only have a slight increase in hunger. It was a sign but he would not be certain for another few days. Perhaps he should even bed her once more to be certain. He was hopeful that Kairi had slowed any pursuers for some time. It wasn't like he hadn't been all over her honestly, perhaps they had even gotten confused with his direction he had sent her. The blizzard last night should have helped cover their tracks as well but he still didn't think Vi was safe until he dealt with whatever threat loomed.

He eyed her ahead and slowed himself to a stop before turning his head to the north. He had already made his choice. His legacy lived within Vianni and would be protected at all costs. He would take Vianni as far as the south continent before he would go back North. He would meet this threat head on one way or another. Vi had Kait and was smart, she would make it he knew.
