From The Start They Didn't Know Exactly Why, Why

Hidden behind the canyon walls the sun gave way to shade and Lydia took a deep breath as she pressed her body against cool stone. It would only last the morning. Once the sun rose fully into the sky it's rays would beam down into the canyon and the infernal heat of summer in Auster would continue. Lydia adjusted the rabbit skin full of herbs. It was getting worn and she really needed to collect a new one sooner rather than later but for now it would do. Hopefully, if she planned this right she'd have her herbs gathered and herself back at her makeshift densite to sleep through the heat before evening brought the opportunity to gather herbs again.

She sighed lightly to herself. It seemed all she ever did was gather herbs and wander and a strong part of her was longing for a pack again though she was too nervous to approach the borders. What would she even say? Would she just ask them what they were like and hope for an honest answer?
