There had been moments of frustration in her life, where she had been forced to do things she was unwilling to do. She had survived worse than this walk, she knew, but it seemed to be an eternity for the monochrome monster. Except for brief gazes at her path, Vianni stared hard at the smaller woman the entire way south. Solara had taken to walking just ahead of her, with her short tail between Vi's front legs to guide her. There had been some clumsy steps along the way, and with the new smell on her master, Solara was reluctant to let the woman fall, she knew the big boss would get mad. Dusty rose eyes seemed to glitter with murderous intent as they walked, and the gray, black and creamy white of her hackles never stopped prickling. Every so often, when Kait would stray too close to the queen, a deep rumble would begin in Vianni's chest and there would be the flash of teeth at the smaller woman. She was not truly angry with Kait, it wasn't her fault that the demon on their heels decided to bring her home. Still, Vianni resented the woman for having caught the beast's eye in the first place. Anything remotely close to comfort was taken from her, all of the denials about what Lucifer had done to the rainbow woman he had told her about had been unraveled. Here was living proof of her husband's infidelity, and he expected her not to kill it? Her blood ran cold with rage, but there was a new reason to follow Lucifer's orders. She felt the life stir within her, like trapped butterflies rapping their wings on a glass jar. She would have announced the first time she felt them, had there not been other females involved. She may be queen, but what was a title if the king was a whore? What was she queen of? Another series of whining growls was issued and Vianni found herself jogging to get rid of the tension. She wasn't sure why she stayed when he brought Kait home, but she had. She was the first, Vianni reminds herself of this fact often. Frustration, anger, anxiety and betrayal washed through her, turning the butterflies into vicious dragonflies that bit and stung her stomach until bile rose in her throat. She growled as her stomach began to act up, and halted in her tracks, swallowing and licking her lips as the metallic tang of bile rushed into her mouth. She grumbled in her throat between swallowing, fighting the urge to empty her gut to no avail. Shaking her head, she turns, her stomach pumping itself as she growled between gags. Retching in the snow, she hisses and flags her tail angrily. Once she is done, she screams in rage at what she left behind and marched off a few paces to grab mouthfuls of snow and eat them to calm the burning in her throat. When she was done cleaning her mouth out, she thumps her butt down grumpily in the snow. "I do not want to walk anymore. My feet are swollen, my stomach hurts and my present company sickens me further. I'll not move another inch." She glared at Kait as she spoke to Solara, then searched behind them for Lucifer. 'But, no sun warm on back! The lightly colored wolverine stated, chittering as two orders conflicted in her mind. "I don't care, I am tired. I demand rest." She argued with the creature, the only one she had talked to on the walk over. There had been moments when the trip was boring enough to reach out, but then Vianni would remember that Kait was her husband's side bitch, and the wish to bond would leave her. |
