Her Mama had left them with one of their cousins for a little bit. Asharya, dignified as she naturally was (despite not even being a moon old,) felt that this was beneath her. She didn't need a babysitter because despite what everyone kept telling her, she certainly wasn't a baby! She was fierce, and strong and she was going to show each and every one of them that if she wanted to wander all the way past the farthest farthest bend in the Canyon, well... She would! Well, she would eventually anyways. That was going to take some plotting, so for now she plotted in silence. She cast a grumpy glance up the Canyon, wondering when Mama was coming back. Her mother was a lot more fun than this guy! And so was her brother, wherever he had gotten off to. He was probably still sleeping in the den, and she rolled her eyes at the thought. What a slug! Maybe she'd have to go wake him up, so he could help her plot too. Or had he wandered off without her? That was an even more unpleasant thought, so she shoved to her feet and tried to crane around her cousin's massive form. When she found him they could totally sneak away! She put her nose to the wind and tried to find him, but it turns out that was a lot harder than her Mama made it look. She grumbled to herself. She hated waiting... |
