Hush Hush Hush
“D-Do y-you w-want m-m-me t-to c-c-come w-with y-y-you?” He asked, flattening his ears as he stuttered through his sentence. He knew very little about Shiloh but he had promised to take care of him, and that was all he had ever asked for really. He didn’t know why Shiloh had said he was lucky, but then the man’s ulterior motives were unknown to the smaller male. “I c-c-can h-h-heal y-y-you…” He trailed off as he spoke the offer, his two-toned gaze slowly fixing on the snow-covered ground. Shiloh was strong, and a fighter by nature, he knew that much, but had no idea if needing to be tended to would only make him feel weak or dependent. He raised his paw to chew on his already rough and broken claws, a soft unsure whimper escaping him.
More than anything Spider wanted to help him, to uphold his end of the arrangement they had made, that the mottled wolf had mistaken for love. He would have gladly followed Shiloh into oblivion as long as it meant he would never have to be alone again. He didn’t expect Shiloh to feel the same way, he was the dominant one in their relationship; the stud to his bitch, it was expected that he would be aloof to some extent, he could remember clearly how Church and Cricket had never been openly affectionate, or at least he believed they hadn’t, they had in truth only kept their affections clandestine for his benefit; Spider had always felt uncomfortable around men, and seeing them affectionate had made him feel ways that he understood as wrong. He understood why he had felt that way in hindsight, but the secret affections of his sister and her husband remained a secret that he would never know the truth to.
