YOUNG AND A MENACE
It was a strange sight, the towering pillars of strange trees. They grew thick and choking in the clearing they had rooted in. Luckily, Kaine had seen these plants in their travels. A wolf they had met in the past had called them bamboo. Of course, the wolf had also said that a strange type of bear feasted solely upon the plant, so who's to say he was telling the truth? Regardless, the titan stepped forth. Snout would extend slowly, nearly grazing the smooth shaft of green. A few tentative sniffs, and they retreated. Something about this place was strange. It smelled of decay and fear. The simple, nonthreatening plant seemed to have fooled a few in the past. Trapped, many must have died in here.
Far from a fool, Kaine opted instead to scout out the reaches of the forest. How far did it extend into the surrounding area? The question was to be settled mostly for curiosity's sake. Limbs reached out in long strides, carrying their bulk around the edges of the forest. They would be sure to keep a lookout for the so called pandas, though they sounded like a creature of myth at best. The deity peered through the tiny gaps between the shoots, searching for whatever the flies were feasting so noisily upon. They could practically hear the maggots writhing within the rotting flesh within.
