It wasn't long before she heard nails clicking on stone and Jewell's brightly colored form bounded to greet her. A sigh of relief left her as she scanned her adopted child for any bodily harm. Nothing. Not a scratch on her. She let her eyes close for a moment as she let the worry leave her. Of course Jewell was excited so her eye didn't stay closed for long as she watched the young girl go immediately into a play bow and assault her with excitement. It was more than contagious and yet she tried to keep the stern look on her face.

"Honestly child, you're going to give me a heart attack one of these days."

She mumbled mostly to herself as Jewell spoke. Calling her mom caught her off guard for a moment and Faite's anger slowly ebbed away to fade into almost nonexistence. Okay for whatever reason children were hard to stay mad at, especially this one. She smiled softly as the girl stopped bouncing and instead pawed at her shoulder. Faite's stern look was gone, but she wasn't about to play with her either.

"This place is very pretty, but you should have let me know where you were going first. Where's Aldric?"

"Speech"
