Sparrow had found Pere and Ash, or rather, they had found her. She was so confused and angry at first, but then the happiness sank in. If those two were back around, then maybe things were starting to look up.
Sparrow hadn't heard from Lillianna since that day. She also hadn't heard from Lark or her father. She had mostly forgotten about the incident and all that remained was a tiny glimmer of hope that Lillianna would be scared of her enough to leave her family alone. Maybe she'd jump packs and end up somewhere else.
She wasn't thinking at all about Lillianna when Lark called to her. She was preoccupied by the thought of her out of pack friends, still a bit giddy from the encounters. When her brother called for her, she answered eagerly, coming jogging up to seek him out.
"Lark! How are you?" she called, her tail swooping back and forth behind her. She aimed to close the gap between them and nuzzle his cheek, "Heard from Dad lately? He's been pretty wrapped up with the pack's new pups, so I haven't- uh-" bothered him, she thought. "-really had a chance to talk to him."
