That Girl

Another day in Tortuga, more time to himself. Sometimes he wished Desdemona would ask him to go along with her on her diplomatic travels. He was rather curious as to what she did when she went out to other packs, but he supposed he could always ask her whenever she would come back. It wasn't as good as actually going with her, but it was better than nothing. It didn't bother him much that she didn't ask him to go with her. He after all wasn't a man of status and he technically had no business involving himself in the affairs of alphas. So with quiet resignation, the ivory man would sent out his wife, a sweet kiss to her muzzle and a pray to whatever gods existed that they would safeguard her and the pups swelling inside her belly. She was heavy, on the point of giving birth and she was really supposed to be staying home, but he couldn't quell the fierce dedication she had to her pack. He only pray that she would be safe in her travels and the pups would hold off until she was home to grace the world.
Silent ivory paws carried the man through Tortuga, nostrils flaring against the chilled breeze that ruffled his fur. An unfamiliar scent filled his nostrils, peaking his curiosity. Another member. Lately he'd begun to run into more pack members, which was actually a good thing. It was giving him a chance to get to know the rest of his pack. Limbs propelled the porcelain knight, mismatched gaze dancing over the foliage before him, coming to rest on the smaller form of a young pup. By the scent he identified her as female, but as far as who she was, he had absolutely no clue. Slowing his pace, Demonio approached slowly, watching for several moments as the little girl pounced at a rock, apparently lonely in her little game. Stilts folded beneath the man, lowering him to the floor, icy and maroon gems intent on the little one, plume wagging gently behind powerful haunches. Hello little one. He rumbled quietly, wondering what her reaction would be to his presence.
