He continued on and her ears flattened as she watched him pass her. What in the world was he doing? Did he just think he could walk right over to them? She hadn't seen his expression and didn't realize that he was amazed by the beasts, amazed enough that he wasn't paying much attention.
"Ty wait!" she called, but he didn't listen lost in his trance.
He had gotten to close and her eyes immediately zeroed in on the one who was eyeing him up. Before she could react the bird charged at her brother, with wings flared. Eyes widened in fear, but soon her brother snapped out of it and wheeled around running back towards her in fast rhythm. When he was out of harms way her eyes narrowed as she watched the bird return to it's meal. She didn't notice her brother's embarrassing tumble before a growl came from her throat and she charged forward. She was quick for her size and she ran straight towards those birds without fear.
That was her brother they threatened and they wouldn't get away with it. The bird who rushed him was back to his meal, head completely in the carcass getting himself the best slice of meat he could. One of the other birds called out before flapping away. Ripping it's head from the body his eyes found Corentine charging towards it and it clicked it's beak and flared it's wings. Though the pup didn't back down. The bird charged at her to, but she didn't turn and run instead she jumped to the left then turned her body shortly to the right to face the birds right side before it could react. She lunged herself into it's flared out wing with her jaws opened wide grabbing onto the meat of the birds wing and biting down, making it scream in pain. Whipping it's head around the bird tried to assault her with it's beak, but she let go and dropped to the ground before throwing her body into the birds side in an attempt to throw it off balance. she was successful and jumped back as the bird flapped it's wings in an attempt to get up quickly, once it did it fled, flying off before she could do more harm to it's precious wing.
"Don't you ever threaten my family again!" she barked at it as it retreated.
