Lonely is the Night

Why he didn't just go straight back up to Boreas was beyond him. It would have been a lot easier, that way, and probably a bit safer too - he didn't want to have to pass by Talis pack lands on the way up. With where he was now, though, there was likely no choice in the matter. Still, though, it was nice out here. Well, depending on where you went. It was mildly unbearable during the day regardless, though, due to the hot sun. And yet, it was winter in Boreas. Snow, ice, and a lack of prey due to that. Here it was hot, dry, and a lack of prey due to that. Not much difference between the lands, really, with what the effects caused by the seasons were.
Sighing, Lykos stretched out. Free? Was he happy? Yes. But at the same time, he was still... nothing really changed. Still felt dead inside. Still had no purpose. Still was just surviving. Still didn't care. He was aware of all of it, and yet, didn't care. There was really nothing for him to... care about.
The scent of another made his nose twitch and disrupted his thoughts. Quickly, his head turned towards the source to see a... large, glowing wolf. Wait, no that was just the moon. Heaving a sigh, he looked away, his nose wrinkling again at the incredibly strong heat scent mixed with the scent of Talis and his family. Ugh, no thanks. It took him only a few minutes to remember what wolf could possibly have that combination of scents - and also be of his family. The... albino wolf who's name he didn't remember. Well, he didn't really care. He wasn't going to willlingly interact with her.
Huffing quietly, he laid his head back down on his paws, determined to ignore this wolf.
