Oddballs

Was she settling in ok? For the most part yes, but there was now something else that bothered her. Aten had seemed to vanish again. It was worrying after having lost the other two from his litter. It wasn't like her little defender to up and disappear on her without a good reason. It went without saying she was willing to tear apart the territory and more to find him. She wasn't willing to loose him too.

She was in the middle of trying to track him down when a howl for her sounded. She lifted her head and turned it to look in the direction of the howl with a blink. She recognized it as that of her new leader but she didn't quite understand why it was he wanted her. Let alone why he couldn't just wait at her den for her to return later. She was busy tracking Aten at the moment. A mother should be concerned with her children before any other is what she believed. Her ears pressed back and she gave a sigh. She might as well answer his call, maybe Aten would be near the man trying to learn from him or something.

She started her hobbling towards the man then. It took her a good couple of minutes before she reached him and once she did she stopped a good solid distance from him. She wasn't willing to be too close. Her eyes fell on him and she watched what he looked at first, ready to snap should he pick her leg instead of her eyes. Her ears stayed back and even her scruff bristled, not with anger but with caution and even weariness to be near someone who was normal again other than Aten.
