He looked at her from his place on the ground, his heart beating rapidly. What. The. HECK. Did she think she was doing? She was showing off how great she was, how much better she was than him. He felt a snarl pull at his throat as he got to his feet, golden eyes locked on her sister as she battled with the magnificent creature. Even for a pup her movements were fluid and seamless, unlike his. He loathed her from a distance as she warned the bird to never hurt her family again. He rolled the word around in his mind and spat internally. Family. Cloud was his family, Bass was his family, his mother was his family, but Corentine and his other two sisters? His sisters who thought they were so much better than him when he wanted to be Primo more than anything else in the world? They most assuredly were not his family. He turned away, lashing his thin tail as he moved to return to the den. He didn’t want to see her or any of his sisters ever again, and yet it as inevitable that he would.
