alabaster living

Spring had arrived, and with it came her sixth heat. The woman was seven years old now, and it was beginning to wear on her. She had wandered through these lands for so long, and had done nothing. Her mother would be disappointed. A long winded sigh escaped her. Cobalt toes spread across the smooth, shimmering rock beneath her. It was beautiful. Dimly, she could see her own reflection. Though it was barely more than her shadow.
It was time to do something. Joining a pack seemed like a great idea. It would provide safety, and a place to call home. However, there was one problem. The northern regions were her home, and there were no packs here. Perhaps someone could point her in the direction of something else, and she could see if it was suitable? Long limbs stretched with long strides as she climbed the sides of the riverbed, seeking something to distract her from the truth of her wasted time in Auster.
