When the male approached, Ashmedai gave him a once-over. Was he blind? Did he wear a horse's tail on his head? How did he make it stick? Why were his markings so sharp and pointy? What function did any of that- except maybe the neck fur- serve? Apparently wolves bred with lions in these parts. Was that possible? Perhaps it was the son or grandson of the lion that his mother de-tailed.

The male greeted Ashmedai kindly enough. Ganta, the prim- the alpha. He asked what brought Ashmedai to his borders.
