It's been a while

A lopsided grin came forward when she greeted him, the male always infected with her jovial attitude. Then again, who wouldn't be? Steel was one lucky guy! Not that he was interested in her that way, but she always seemed to have an upbeat attitude, and he appreciated that in times when things felt like they were weighing heavy on his shoulders. He hoped he could find someone like that someday, someone who could make him happy and in turn, he could do the same. "That's good to hear!" His tail wagged, ears perking as she spoke again. She asked if he was up for a hunt, and of course his excitement about a prospective hunt grew. "A hunt? Sure, I'm down for that! Uh, what did you have in mind? I can call for a couple others to join us if you had something big in mind?" He was sure his mother and maybe one of his siblings would be up for one, after all, it had been a while since a pack hunt had been called. At least, one that others actually attended.
