She had eaten fireflies too? Maybe it was a universal pup thing? Ashmedai thought back to those days... some of them weren't even that far off!

Speaking of pups- "Wait. You have pups?!" Ashmedai exclaimed in kind of a hushed voice as if it was a secret. So she liked a good battle too, but she had pups? "Are your brother and pups in a pack, or like, do you raise them alone. Maybe it's the water, so I couldn't smell them, but I wouldn't have guessed you were a mother."

She explained that she promised to be good, but that she needed a vacation. Ashmedai laughed, "When they're weaned, let's go destroy something- or someone. Preferably someone and someone kind of if not wholly deserving."

Pyralis confirmed what Ashmedai thought was a fish. She asked if he could catch it. "Dunno," he replied simply. Ashmedai moved slowly, shifting his weight and not moving his paws. He bent his legs slightly, readying his jaws and dove into the water, sending small tendrils of blue water in his wake as he attempted to catch the fish.
