Mommy's little monsters

He had awoke early this morning and already he had had his fill of milk by the time some of the others were awake. He was even up early enough to see his father leave. His eyes had followed him and he was quiet. He did everything he was told on a daily basis, and for that he was rewarded he knew. His eyes, finally turning their true colors, turned to Vianni as she slept and he took it upon himself to move his little self outside. He stood and moved careful to avoid his mom and younger siblings. His quest was the dens entrance. He couldn't see noctus or his father any longer so he took it upon himself to plant his but right by the entrance and wait for him.
It was almost an hour later and the little gargoyle was finally rewarded for his efforts. He sat straight up, his eyes out and his ears perked like the guard he was. He was league's above his sisters and brother so they'd better understand that in his opinion. His father appeared with noctus at his heels and the thing he carried caused the boy to squint at it. He hadn't seen his mom eat that before, but then again his father knew best. As his father went to pass the silent sentry he ruffled his pelt which had been cleaned while he waited. His eyes flew to his father with a glare. A prince had to keep his appearances and here his father was ruining his. He cleared his face quickly though and shook the dust from his pelt before turning andc watching his father and mother. He stayed silent though. He was just a silent little gargoyle outside the den for now. His father's joke was lost on him as well.
