It was obvious that Jewell was distracted. Faite's own ear flicked towards the dripping noise for only a moment before training back on the rainbow colored child. Luckily her words were enough to catch the girl's attention for at least the briefest of moments. Hopefully Jewell would be able to focus a moment to be able to help find Aldric. She wasn't keen on the idea of leaving her alone. Knowing her she'd get distracted and wander off and then she'd be stuck chasing them both down. Jewell broke out in a grin and Faite couldn't share the same enthusiasm. Worry manifested in her gut. She couldn't imagine that Aldric would just willingly separate himself from Jewell without a good reason. Needless to say she followed Jewell eagerly when the girl requested her to follow. She took off after the smaller wolf and took note of the broken mushrooms. It was clear she'd been romping around here earlier. Now all she had to do was find where Aldric's and Jewell's scents connected and then she'd be able to find where Aldric had disappeared to. She set her nose towards the ground with one of her ears trained towards Jewell to keep tabs on her. She followed Jewell's old scent for a while until it paired back up with the boy's and then broke off on it's own down a steep and rocky incline. With only the mushroom's light to guide the way she made her way slowly down passageway. It wasn't until she reached the bottom that she noticed Aldric. She could easily tell that something was wrong though. She could smell blood and upon further inspection noticed the horrid gash on his head. She moved closer and pressed her nose to his neck only to find it stiff, cold, and without a pulse. "Oh no..." The thought pounded in her head before she thought of Jewell. "Jewell sweetie, why don't you stay up there. It's dangerous to come this way." She called out without looking to see if she'd followed. It was hard to focus with the body of the young wolf in front of her. There was no way she wanted to see this. There was also no way she could get his body back to Lirim by herself. She'd have to get Zell to help her later. A soft sigh fluttered past her lips. This wasn't good. "Speech" I like to imagine That you smile when you hear my songs |
