This One's For You

Pyralis had slept like a rock. She'd finally returned from all her wandering and proceeded to crash immediately in her den. At that point she could've slept through an earthquake or a hurricane. When she'd woken Lydia set about tending her injuries with a side of guilt and lecturing that was really unfit for a mortal slave but Pyralis was too tired to fret over it. Lydia had done a good job with the kids while she was away and her reward would be Pyralis not ripping one of her ears off.

She'd woken early that morning, the canyon still dark and waiting for the sun to peer above the walls, and set out in search of a drink. Sating her thirst at the cool stream it happened, as it always did, she started to wander. Sometimes she swore that her feet were possessed and while the one paw stung sharply it wasn't enough to deter her as she moved into the nearby woods. Maybe she could find some suitable prey here to bring back to her children. As she maneuvered through the trees she caught a familiar scent. Ah, her elder sister, Ana.

She picked up her pace until she found the soaking wet form of her sister. Goodness, had she been out walking in that story. She grinned. "Out on patrol this morning, are we sister? You seem troubled. Something on your mind?"
