Gods Can't Save You Now

The state of unconsciousness was welcoming for a little while. Just the inky darkness to keep him company. He couldn't even feel the pain in his neck anymore as he laid in a puddle of his own blood as it stained the snow. He wasn't even aware of how long he stayed like that before the figure came. It felt almost like a dream and he was only faintly aware of the paw as it brushed his own blood on his pelt in a swirling motion. He didn't notice the warmth either as something was draped over him and then pressed into his wound. There was also no will to wake up either. Waking up meant pain and it wasn't something the yearling was ready to face yet. And then the second wolf appeared. He wasn't aware of her presence either, but his body recognized the lack of warmth as the deer hide was removed from his wound. His eyes shifted under his closed eyelids as the consciousness slowly started to come back as the horsetail was applied to his wound. It wasn't until he felt a cold nose against his cheek and a voice telling him to get up that he awoke entirely. Eyes snapped open and amethyst and teal flecked gaze blinked wearily at the two wolves. One was normal, well almost normal looking, with two different colors. It was almost like she was split in half. It was the other wolf that brought him alarm as she nudged him again. She was almost celestial in coat color, reminding him a bit of the night sky. His eyes being unfocused didn't quite help either as his eyes rested on the strange objects she wore. Oh god this was it, he was dead, wasn't he? He hadn't made it after all. He groaned softly as his neck wound gave a painful throb. If he was dead then why did that still hurt? Maybe he was just dying and that one wolf was death ready to come reap his soul? Did that make the other wolf an angel? "Am I dead? I must be dead." He muttered a bit deliriously. Walk, "Talk" Think |
