Shimmering Shore. Fern hadn't thought she'd been there in her travels. It sounded rather pretty. Faine had said previously that Kharnage showed up out of nowhere, but was that all there was to the story? Fern thought it odd that a wolf would just pop up and invite someone to take permanent residence in their home. There had to be more. Faine hadn't really elaborated, so Fern decided to try a different question.
"Why did you decide to become a healer? Who taught you how to heal?" She knew that if Faine had come to the pack, she probably wasn't mentored. She was a relatively new member it seemed, and had already attained the rank of Blue Mage, so she must have had outside training.
A sudden image of Moreng appeared into Fern's mind, those green eyes that were always so obscure, so guarded, boring into hers.
A quick flick of Fern's ear sent the image away, heart racing. Damn. She'd locked him up, locked him away, closed a door in her memory she never wanted to open again. Perhaps it was this one-on-one conversation that had brought it back. It had been so long since she'd had company. Fern blinked a couple times, hoping her composure had remained stable, her thoughts hidden. She once again gave her attention to Faine as she began to speak.
OOC: Oops I'm so sorry I overlooked the out of nowhere part. I just tried to play it cool, ahah
