She had left her companion deep within his slumber, slipping off in hopes to catch a good meal for the both of them to share. Now that winter had left she was unsure of what the next plans for travel would be. She knew Mortar would more then likely be restless being cooped up in the barn for so long and she didn't blame him. She too was restless and it was also the start of herb hunting season. She was sure her heat this past winter may have driven the male to be more restless and she felt bad, but the dear couldn't help it. Things were still odd between them, Mortar never would let her get to close and she felt she was always and tail length away. She wanted to be closer to him, but for some reason he didn't want her to and she was unsure why.
Sighing she shook her head and continued on, leaving the range and traveling into the knolls. Her nose to the ground and her tail high in the air the happy female moved throughout the knolls taking in the scents and looking for prey to take down. She wasn't a large creature so she would be forced to take small prey, one for her and one for Mortar. She continued to move through the grasses until she got to the spot above a herd of buffalo making her stop to stare at the herd for a bit.
