Ashiel was not the morning type. He'd been curled up happily next to their aunt Razi and he'd been sleeping like a stone when his sister tried to wake him for an early morning escape. He yawned and nodded and tried to make his limbs move but they just didn't want to go and he'd fallen back asleep before he even realized it. When he stirred again the memories of moments before came flooding back and he realized Asha had gone on without him. Ugh! No! He glanced at aunt Razi who seemed to be sleeping soundly and he quickly took off into the bamboo maze.

"Asha?" He whispered. "Asharya, where are you?"
