leave me to stray
It had been a while since the girl started into a run, spooked by a large bear and she didn’t look back to see that it had stopped following her. She ignored the protest of her body wanting to rest, she pushed herself onwards and letting her sides heave almost manically as she panted.
Athesia hadn’t really paid attention to her surroundings and neither did she stop to see where she was, only would she make sure to weave between the trees and dodge them as she went along in her hurried pace. Which was a mistake on her behalf as she was quick to tumble over roots that had grown up from the ground, her right hind paw caught between them and her chest hitting the ground with a thud. She winced as she tried to get back up, looking back at her caught paw. Then she realised there was no bear following her which brought some relief to her, however, she quickly went back to focus on getting her paw out of those roots.
Moving her body in different directions, she would be able to free herself but it seemed the fall and roots had caused her to have a limp. She would be careful not to put much weight on the sprain and if she did, it would cause a low whine to come from her.
