Wrath

The little fiend had been ceaselessly exploring since breaking away from his physical isolation. Everywhere there was something interesting to see! Someone new to meet! The land always held wonderful surprises and grotesque secrets that he indulged in excessively. His newest find was the battlegrounds. They didn?t really look like battlegrounds on the outside ? grassy and sure to be pleasantly humming with life in the spring and summer ? but a few minutes of ambling around told the hellion that this was indeed a place of war. As if hiding some dirty secret, the happy grass and clear skies belied what really went on. But he could smell it. Death, blood, and bones. It smelled marvelous.
With tiny bouncing motions, the gremlin leapt along, peeking above a sea of grass to catch sight of a pond here, a fallen tree there, and a good many dark stains on the ground. The terrain certainly wasn?t lacking! Now if only he could find something dead. He continued to spring along aimlessly, his jaws unhinged and his tongue rolling free from the cave of teeth. Wide blue eyes searched the environment restlessly, relentlessly tearing free the details to analyze them within his whirring mind. He paused for a minute to catch his breath, wondering if anyone else was around. And just like that, as if on cue, a strange cry rang in the atmosphere. Caesar perked, instantly attracted.
A sloppy grin stretched across his lips ? a stitched expression riddled with corruption. Just what he wanted! Abruptly the creature bounded off in the direction of the call. It took him but a few moments to find the big brute, and when he did he skidded to a halt some few yards in front of him. He stood, still grinning with his tongue lolling out and his pale eyes stretched wide. This was a place of playing! Surely this man wanted to play! The imp glanced him over for a second. He was large, but Caesar was unfazed, excitement and eagerness twisting through his veins. ?Caesar wants to play!? he barked, his vicious grin pinching back a tad more. Ears folded back, his eyes narrowing as he expectantly shuffled his feet a little. Oh he'd be disappointed if this stranger didn't want to play.
