Appearance:
Torin is tall, there are really no two ways about it, though he is not as tall as his father standing only 40 inches. He is well muscled but not particularly bulky, instead looking more lean than brutish. His fur is short but thick, giving him an almost more rounded look to all his edges.

As for his pelt itself, he is mostly done up in muted tone of grey. From the base of his ears down to the tip of his tail is a dark grey that gradually fades into lighter and lighter shades down his sides before becoming pure white at his chest, shoulders and haunches, his paws at the ankle do a reverse of the gradient on his back. His neck and face however are at lighter silver color broken only by a blaze running from his nose to his forehead in the same darker shade as his back.

Torin's eyes are truly something esle, the boy as two colors within the iris of each eye, the inner ring is a mustard yellow color while the outer ring is a brilliant sky blue, giving his gaze an almost ethereal quality.

Personality: Torin is in a word: quiet. He doesn't care much for (or indeed understand) the usual clamor that seems to come with most of life. He's much more content with quietly thinking or observing than with socializing. Quiet does not mean kind however, in fact in the boy's case he is somewhat judgmental, in fact he has a certain level of self righteousness. Not that he's perfect, or no far from it, he can always improve, he simply sees his methods and way of thinking as objectively better.

Not that he's totally unkind either, he has a strong sense of right and wrong and even believes in a sort of justice, he simply isn't naive; Torin believes beyond a shadow of a doubt that he has the capacity to better the lives of others and to help mend wrongs but that to do so requires a certain amount of power.

Indeed Torin is quietly ambitious, he seeks to better himself as much as possible in an attempt to further his goals; and he expects the best of himself. Success will push him to maintain his current standards while failure will hit him hard and only push him to grow and not fail again.

There is a hidden soft side to the boy, one few outside of his family will get to see. Despite all his misgivings about sentimentalism and the need for so much clamor he still cares deeply about others, especially those close to him.

Torin sighed and slowly lowered himself onto his sides his limbs aching. So that hadn't gone as well as he had hoped, he had challenged his father to a friendly spar... though he had definitely taken the brunt of the injuries on that one... but then maybe that's what he got for going so hard.

The boy sighed again, a deep frown furrowing his brows. More than anything he was frustrated with himself. He expected better... but then he wasn't exactly like he expected his father to be a push over... in truth he wasn't sure what he really expected. He wanted to prove he was strong, that's really what he wanted but all he'd ended up doing was slinking away with to nurse his bruises and brood on his failure.

Finally he groaned and heaved himself to his paws, wounds protesting again on the way up. No point in wallowing in self pity, he needed to get up and better himself so that next time he could do better... maybe he'd even win one day. He was going to track down his father and ask him about that particular hold he'd used to keep Torin's head locked forwards.

But first maybe he'd seek out a Nova and get something for the pain... and have them look at his leg, already the scratch was starting to sting and he'd not get an infection just because he was too eager to discuss battle strategies.
