Then they went on to say the pearly gates
Brandr worked out his emotions as he often did, through work. The pack meeting had been tense and left him feeling stunned and numb that the alpha was just suddenly gone. It also made him realize how much of an outsider he was in this pack. Everyone in Abaven seemed to have known each other for so long. The emotions and the outbursts that were voiced in the meeting left Brandr questioning and uncertain and in the end all he could do was sit and watch, a silent spectator to the whirling emotions about him.
He was taking a walk through the cooler night air, keeping alert should he spy any signs of prey. As he travelled he spied Corentine not far off, nestled on a knoll and he sighed softly to himself. He felt terrible for her, he felt terrible for everyone and he honestly just wanted to avoid the whole pack while he worked through his own baggage but at the same time he felt it would be wrong to just turn his shoulder to another pack member like that. Not that he'd have any idea what to say.
Brandr approached the knoll and sat at the base of it, staring up into the sky where Corentine had been looking. His mouth opened for a moment but no sound came out and so he shut it lightly. He'd give her space. If she wanted to talk she could if she'd rather just watch the night sky in silence he was fine with that to.
