She gave a nonchalant shrug to his question as she came to a stop a couple of feet away from him. There was a whole list of things that had been bothering her, but she didn't want to dive into all her baggage at the first breath of a reunion. "I've been better, but still not bad all things considered. Still alive and healthy with food to eat and fun to have." Not a lie. A lot of worries and loneliness getting in the way of the fun part at the moment, but it was hard to deny that she was well taken care of for the most part. Piper kept a smile on her lips and a wag in her tail all the same. "It's good to see you again, Jackson," she added, her tone and smile a bit more genuine than it had been before. No matter how down she had been feeling, she always enjoyed good company. "How about you? How have you been? How's Fiori doing?" she asked curiously. She settled down onto her haunches as she spoke. She figured they'd at least be chatting for awhile so she might as well get comfortable. |
